Introduction of UV absorbers and light stabilizers for agricultural film
A large part of the aging of agricultural film comes from ultraviolet radiation, so ultraviolet absorbers or light stabilizers should be added to its formula. After adding UV absorbers, as a protective layer on the surface map of agricultural film, UV light can be absorbed and converted into heat energy. UV absorbers can effectively prolong the aging time of agricultural film, and even repair the damaged molecular structure.
HALS is a new type of high efficient stabilizer which appeared in the mid-1970s. It is used in the anti-aging of plastics, rubber and other polymer materials. Its light stability effect is 2-4 times of that of the traditional absorption light stabilizer, and it has good compatibility with many resins. HALS is the fastest developing light stabilizer at present.
Relysorb®622 is a light stabilizer of hindered amines. It is widely used in polyolefin and olefin copolymers. The product does not affect the color and transparency of the final product, and it is easy to disperse. OMNISTAB LS 944 can effectively improve the optical stability of thin products, especially fiber and film products. It is a high efficient and long-term heat stabilizer for thick and thin products, with good anti extraction performance.
In general, the combination of two light stabilizers or UV absorbers and light stabilizers can provide more comprehensive protection for products. Quencher is a kind of material which through intermolecular energy transfer(long-term energy transfer and contact or collision or exchange energy transfer), quickly and effectively to excited state molecules(singlet and triplet state substances)quenching and converted into heat energy or into a fluorescence or phosphorescence, and radiation loss, return to the ground state. Through this process, and make them from UV damage, so as to achieve the purpose of the stability of polymer materials. Quenching agents are mainly metal complexes, such as divalent nickel complex, and often used with ultraviolet absorption agents, play a synergistic role. Therefore, it is different from ultraviolet absorbent (which does not strongly absorb ultraviolet radiation), and its mechanism of action is different from ultraviolet absorbent (which transfers energy through structural changes within molecules). For example, UV 1084, is known as 2, 2-thio-bis (4-tert-octyl phenol) n-butylamine nickel salt in Chinese.
