Relyon® 503

【DESCRIPTION】

Relyon^®503 is a masterbatch containing 50% of an ultra-high molecular weight siloxane polymer dispersed in a proprietary polypropylene (PP) resin. Relyon^®503 was designed for use in PP and compatible systems. Other loading levels are available upon request.

【PROCESSING AND RECOMMENDED ADDITION LEVELS】 

When Relyon^®503 is added at 0.5% to 1.5% during processing, the masterbatch enhances the processing of PP by lowering torque and back pressure in an extruder. In an injection molding machine, Relyon^® 503 improves polymer flow so that there is higher weld line strength, improved part filling, and lower cycle time. At higher addition levels of 2% to 10%, Relyon^®503 improves surface properties including lower coefficient of friction, increased hydrophobicity, and greater mar and abrasion resistance.
